Find Sizes
How to Find Important Info on Your Craftlander Boat Lift
Knowing the size, capacity, and specifications of your boat hoist is essential for safe and proper operation. Using a hoist that is not correctly matched to your boat can lead to poor performance, unnecessary wear, or even equipment failure. By identifying your hoist’s capacity and dimensions, you can ensure your boat is properly supported, balanced, and protected while lifting and storing.

Determine Capacity
The first step is determining the size, or capacity, of your hoist. We offer a wide range of load capacities, so identifying the correct model is important. To find this information, locate the serial tag, sticker, or etched marking on the hoist itself (not on the winch). This tag will provide the model number and year of manufacture, which can be used to determine the hoist’s capacity.

Load Capacity Chart
| Model / Capacity | Lower Frame | Winch Ratio |
|---|---|---|
| V-25 / 2,500 lb Capacity | 2″ x 3″ tubes on lower frame | 11:1 winch |
| V-35 / 3,500 lb Capacity | 2″ x 4″ tubes on lower frame | 11:1 winch |
| V-45 / 4,500 lb Capacity | 2″ x 5″ tubes on lower frame | 16:1 winch |
| V-60 / 6,000 lb Capacity | 2″ x 6″ tubes on lower frame | 11:1 winch |
| V-70 / 7,000 lb Capacity | 2″ x 6″ tubes on lower frame | 16:1 winch |
| V-80 / 8,000 lb Capacity | 2″ x 6″ tubes on lower frame | 16:1 winch |
| VHL-40 / 4,000 lb Capacity (High Lift) | 2″ x 6″ tubes on lower frame | 16:1 winch |
| VHL-60 / 6,000 lb Capacity (High Lift) | 2″ x 6″ tubes on lower frame | 11:1 winch |
Determine Hoist Width
Now that you know your hoist’s capacity, the next step is to determine its width. Simply compare your spreader and beam measurements to the chart below to identify the correct size. Once you have both your capacity and width, you can provide this information to your authorized dealer to ensure you receive the correct replacement parts.
| Spreader Length | Beam Length | Hoist Width |
|---|---|---|
| 107″ | 113 1/4″ | 108″ |
| 119″ | 125 1/4″ | 120″ |
| 131″ | 137 1/4″ | 132″ |
| 143″ | 149 1/4″ | 144″ |
PWC Hoists
There are two types of PWC lifts we carry a vertical model and 3-cantilever models.
Determine Capacity
Personal watercraft hoists are straightforward to identify the capacity. All current models have a 1,200 lb weight capacity, while older models were rated at 750 lb.

Determine Capacity
We offer two types of personal watercraft (PWC) hoists: vertical and cantilever models. Use the information below to identify your specific hoist.
Vertical PWC Hoist (10 Series)
The Vertical 10 PWC hoist was updated in 2013. To determine which version you have:
- Check for a serial tag or etched marking on the winch column.
- If no tag is present, inspect the side brace tube:
- If the brace connects to the bottom frame, it is an older model.
- If the brace connects only between the two columns, it is the newer model.
- Newer models use flat Allen head bolts.
- All vertical PWC hoists are 63″ wide.
- Winch: D/L 1502
Cantilever PWC Hoists
We offer three cantilever PWC configurations:
10-60 Single Lift
- 60″ wide
- Winch: D/L 1500
10-72 Single Lift
- 72″ wide
- Winch: D/L 1500
12-PWC Double Lift
- Two 10-60 lifts combined into one unit
- Separate winches allow each side to lift independently
- Serial tag typically located on diagonal tube of side panel
- May also have a white sticker or etched marking near the winch
Capacity Update
Around 2007, cantilever PWC hoists were upgraded from 750 lb to 1,200 lb capacity. Updated models include:
- Triangle support plates on the stands
- Reinforcement tube on the side panel
Pontoon Hoists
Pontoon cantilever lifts are available in five models to accommodate a range of pontoon sizes. Their simple, dependable design makes them a popular choice for those looking for ease of use and reliability. These lifts are best suited for shallow water applications. While earlier models were rated at 3,000 lb, current models are available in 3,200 lb and 4,200 lb capacities to better meet today’s needs.

You can determine the size of your lift by the number of stands it has. On our 4,200 lb models, cast eye bolts are used for the pulleys, which can also help with identification. The model number is typically located in the same area shown in the reference image, or at the top of the side panels.
Our Pontoon Lifts use D/L 1500 winches except for the 4200lb pontoons which use the D/L 2502 winch.
| Model | Size | Stands | Weight Capacity |

| 32-BL-18 | 18′ | 3 | 3,200 lb |
| 32-BL-22 | 22′ | 4 | 3,200 lb |
| 32-BL-25 | 25′ | 5 | 3,200 lb |
